BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 15:
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today presided over a Block Diwas programme at Nambla, Uri, aimed at strengthening public outreach and ensuring effective on-ground delivery of government services.

During the event, various departments set up stalls to generate awareness among locals about key welfare schemes and flagship initiatives of the Government. DC Baramulla Minga Sherpa, accompanied by SDM Uri, ACD, inspected the stalls and interacted with officials to review the status of public service delivery. He also distributed sanction letters, Golden Cards, and Job Cards among the beneficiaries.

Public representatives and residents from adjoining border villages raised several issues pertaining to basic amenities and developmental needs. The DC patiently listened to all the grievances and issued on-spot directions to the concerned officers for prompt redressal of genuine demands.

He assured the gathering that all legitimate issues will be addressed within the stipulated timeframe, while matters requiring higher-level intervention will be taken up with the competent authorities.

The DC appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the people and reiterated the administration’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and inclusive governance, ensuring equitable development across all areas of the district.
