SRINAGAR , NOVEMBER,19:

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Shri Minga Sherpa, IAS, has been honoured with the prestigious Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Commendation Card and Disc in recognition of his outstanding leadership during Operation Sindoor and his sustained efforts in strengthening civil–military coordination in the region.

The commendation was presented to him by Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma, SYSM, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, during a special ceremony held at Kathi Post, Nawarunda, Uri.

In the same ceremony, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Uri, Shri Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak, IAS, was also conferred with the GOC-in-C Northern Command Commendation Card and Disc for his exemplary service and exceptional commitment during Operation Sindoor.

The honours bestowed on the Deputy Commissioner and SDM Uri reflect the seamless synergy between civil administration and the Indian Army, and acknowledge their pivotal roles in ensuring effective coordination, public safety, and timely execution of critical operational responsibilities in the sensitive border region.
