*_Distt Adm will Provide Active Support for Development of Sub Division Pattan, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar_*

Continuing the Special Public Outreach Programme across the district and in order to take first hand appraisal of the issues of general people at their door steps, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today visited Government Degree College Pattan where she chaired a day long Block Divas Camp and listened various issues and demands of people meant for the overall welfare and development of the area.

The programme witnessed large participation of people from Pattan, Zangam, Khore besides other adjoining areas of Teshil Pattan. 

Among others, the Public Grievance Redressel Camp was attended by Joint Director Planning, Mohd Yousuf Rather,  Sub Divisional Magistrate Pattan, Syed Faheem, Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla, Yaar Ali , Chief Education Officer Baramulla, G.M. Lone, District Information Officer Jahangeer Akhoon besides other district and sectoral officers of the district.

During the Grievance Redressel Camp, Various Public delegations and scores of individuals projected various developmental issues before the Deputy Commissioner and sought the timely resolution of their grievances and demands.

On the occasion, the people put forth several demands including macdamization and widening of link and main roads,  Upgradation of Education Institutions, creation of play fields in the area and establishment of power receiving stations at various places.

 Upgradation of Community Health Centre to Sub District Hospital, establishment of Maternal and Child Health Center was also among the major demands of people. 

 After giving a patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the DC assured that district administration will provide active support for development of Sub Division Pattan and also assured them that all their issues and demands shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their timely redressal.

On the occasion, facilitation counter was also installed  during which several facilities including Ayushman Cards, making of golden cards  were made available for the general people for their convienance.

Meanwhile, two wheel chairs and two hearing aids were also distributed among the beneficiaries under Prosthetic Aids scheme of Social Welfare Department. 

Addressing the gathering, the DC said that the purpose of holding such grievance redressal Camps is to take appraisal of local issues from the general public for precise and on-ground assessment for time bound redressal.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that administration is keen to streamline public service delivery and added that various developmental works are being identified and subsequently approved for their execution.
