BUDGAM, FEBRUARY,17 :
During a weekly visit of DC Budgam, Fakhurdin Hamid (IAS) to Khanasahib Sub Division, Tehsildar Abid Gani was found absent & therafter report was sought from SDM & he in turn informed that the said Tehsildar is absent from 13th Feb till date.
Source that it was further reported that the said Tehsildar was generally not available at his H.Q followed by some more complaints of very serious nature for which enquiry has already been initiated.
Is D.c Competent to suspend tehsildar
He has over steped his powers.As only appointing authority is competent to suspend any official.D.C has to report to higher authorities with his recommendations
