In a first District Development Council Pulwama has passed a resolution for suspension of Tehsilar Pulwama and Excecutive Engineer PWD for “disgracing” vice-chairperson of the council.
The Council passed the resolution today during its meeting about the developmental issues of the district.
Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) the council members passed a resolution for suspending Tehsildar Pulwama and Executive Engineer PWD who have “barged” into the accommodation of vice-chairperson of the council late night over a month ago in Pulwama town.
They said Tehsildar and Xen PWD had around midnight barged into VC Mukhtar Bandh’s government quarter in Pulwama town and locked it without serving any notice to him.
Taking cognisance of the issue, the council in its resolution have sought explanation from the Tehsildar and Exen PWD Pulwama as to how “without any reason they had barged into” the quarters of VC and locked all his household belongings in a single room.
Meanwhile, the council also discussed developmental and other welfare matters of the district and urged all to support implementation of PRI Act in letter and spirit for strengthening of grassroots democracy.
The council was chaired by SDC chairperson Bari Andrabi and 13 members of the council who all supported the resolution. (KNS)
