The residents of Kanispora area of Baramulla district Saturday expressed resentment against the District Administration and Beacon Department for failed and blocked drainage network in the area which led to incessant waterlogging in Kanispora National Highway , causing immense hardships to people of the area.
The drainage from Kanispora to Kralhar National Highway is completely defunct and blocked which causes inundation of locality.
We are moving from pillar to post but nobody is ready to listen to our woes, they told news agency—Kashmir Scroll
Locals said due to rainfall in the past two days the national highway Kanispora has remained submerged, People of the area are unable to walk to the main road as the national highway road at kanispora are inundated.
Beacon Department has already constructed a drain from kanispora to kralhar however the drain is choked.
According to Locals of tawheed colony kanispora ,The blockage of the drain has caused manifold problems to locals, and people are not able to move out for prayers and students are not able to go to tuition centres
Locals appealed to the District Administration and Beacon Department to address the issue without any further delay and to Construct and restore the choked drain so that the residents of the area do not suffer further—(KS)
