DGP J&K Police, Nalin Prabhat IPS, undertook a visit to remote areas of Kathua district, including Machedi, Badnota, Sadrota, and Dugaini Police Posts. He interacted with Jawans and officers of the Special Operations Group (SOG) Kathua Billawar.
During the visit, ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain IPS, briefed the DGP on ongoing anti-terrorist operations in the region. DIG JKS Range, Shiv Kumar IPS, DDIB Jammu, SSP Kathua Shobit Saxena IPS, SP Ops Amir, Dysp Ops Malhar Sukhvir Singh, and SHO Billawar accompanied the DGP.
Brigadier TS Sekhon (ARMY), CO Sikh Unit, and Commandant CRPF Arvind provided detailed presentations on operational preparedness in these areas. The DGP also interacted with Army and CRPF personnel, emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts among all forces to neutralize terrorists whose presence has been reported in the region.
DGP Prabhat stressed the importance of intelligence gathering and effective ground operations in counter-terrorism efforts.
