Dr Syed Sehrish Presides Over the Function, Distributes Variety of Appliances, Aids among CWSN

Baramulla, July 31:

Education Department Baramulla in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) today organized a distribution cum fitment camp to provide appropriate Aids and Appliances to Children with special needs (CWSN) at Higher Secondary School Deewanbagh here.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar presided over the function as Chief Guest while as Chief Education Officer Baramulla, Balbir Singh Raina and other functionaries of concerned departments were present in the programme.

During the distribution camp, a large number of CWSN students were assessed and provided with Aids and Appliances.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Sehrish Asgar appreciated the efforts of School Education Department and ALIMCO. She emphasized that such camps tremendously help students to cope up in their daily life and should go in a long way to help them to achieve life goals.

The DC called for holding more camps to cover left out students, especially in rural and far-flung areas of the district; for which she assured full support from the district administration.

Other speakers also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders in the conduct of such camp.

On the culmination of the event, CEO Baramulla extended his gratitude to all the stakeholders for making the event a success.
