In a tragic development, ten Indian Army soldiers succumbed to their injuries following a devastating road accident in Doda district on Thursday, plunging the entire region into mourning and triggering an outpouring of grief across the Union Territory.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives of 10 Indian Army soldiers in a road accident in Doda district.
In a post on X, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the Lieutenant Governor said he was “deeply saddened” by the unfortunate incident and paid tribute to the bravery and supreme sacrifice of the soldiers who lost their lives. He said the nation will always remember the outstanding service rendered by the fallen soldiers.
“I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. In this moment of profound sorrow, the entire nation stands united with them in solidarity and support,” the LG said.
He further informed that 10 injured soldiers have been airlifted to hospitals for advanced medical care. The Lieutenant Governor said he has directed senior officials to ensure the best possible treatment to the injured personnel and prayed for their speedy recovery.—(KNC)
