BARAMULLA MAY ,29 :
Wanted 4 Drug Smugglers including two non locals namely Shabir Ahmad Rather of Khaitangan, Shoaib Aijaz Goru of Kanispora, Mohd Humayan Sheikh & Mohd Jiyaul Mostafa of West Bengal arrested; 410 grams of contraband Charas & 36 grams of Brown Sugar like substances recovered at Khaitangan, Kanispora & Fatehpora Baramulla during naka checking; Vehicle seized; Cases registered.
At Khaitangan Baramulla
Police under the supervision of Sh. Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by PSI Rayees Ahmad, IC PP Delina arrested wanted Drug Smuggler namely Shabir Ahmad Rather S/O Ghulam Nabi Rather R/O Khaitangan Baramulla during routine patrolling at Khaitangan Baramulla who was coming from Khaitangan towards Baramulla and upon seeing the patrolling party he tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During their personal search 410 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
At Kanispora Baramulla
Police under the supervision of Sh. Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by DySP Prob Naveed Shokat, SHO PS Baramulla arrested wanted Drug Smuggler namely Shoaib Aijaz Goru S/O Aijaz Ahmad Goru R/O Kanispora during naka checking at Kanispora Baramulla who was coming from Srinagar towards Baramulla in a vehicle BMW bearing registration number HR26BF-0973 and upon seeing the naka party he tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search 16 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately. Vehicle was also seized on spot.
Cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigations set in motion.
At Fatehpora Baramulla
Police under the supervision of Sh. Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by DySP Prob Naveed Shokat, SHO PS Baramulla arrested wanted 2 Drug Smugglers namely Mohd Humayan Sheikh S/O Mohd Noor Hussain & Mohd Jiyaul Mostafa S/O Mohd Saifuddin both residents of Attar Dariyapur West Bengal during routine patrolling at Fatehpora Baramulla who were coming from Fatehpora towards Baramulla and upon seeing the naka party they tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully.
During their personal search 20 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately.
Cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
