CEOs directed to conduct field verification; institutions told to follow FFRC norms strictly
Srinagar, Nov 17 :
The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has cautioned all government-recognized private schools against publishing fee structures that differ from those approved by the J&K Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee (FFRC).
As per a circular issued by Joint Director North, Hakeem Tanveer Ahmad (JKAS) as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the department has received reports that some private institutions are uploading fee details on their apps and websites that do not match the FFRC-approved rates, which the department has termed a serious violation.
The circular instructs the Chief Education Officers of Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora to deploy field teams to scrutinize the fee structures displayed by every private school to ensure they align with FFRC approval.
It also directs the CEOs to collect written undertakings from the heads of all such schools, certifying that they have adhered to the approved structure and have not deviated from the notified rates on any platform.
The circular further reiterates that no private school is permitted to charge tuition, transport, or annual fees beyond what has been sanctioned by the FFRC. (KNC)
