Srinagar: JK Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) an amalgam of major trade unions of Jammu and Kashmir have expressed serious concern on unnecessary delay in disposing of pending SRO-43 cases and called it worst type of red tapism and injustice with the families of employees who have died during service period.In a strong worded statement President EJAC Mohd Rafique Rather said that hundreds of SRO-43 cases are pending in different departments and there is no body to address such cases which has put the dependents of dead employees to starvation and mental trauma. Rafique Rather said that it is unfortunate that the familes of employees who have given their lives while serving the people, are made to suffer and there seems no end to their sufferings and no unfortunately no headway to such a human issue which otherwise deserve a special attention and added that sufferings of such families are unbearable. He said that SRO-43 cases are pending in different departments for years together and Head of the departments have turned their back to such grave and serious human issue citing filmsy grounds and resort to delaying tacts.Rafique Rather lashed out on concerned head of the departments who have shown casual approach to this issue and have resorted to get the disposal of these cases delayed for years together and added that EJAC will hit the roads to highlight the sufferings of the familes who are waiting for compensate appointments under the said SRO.but are denied the legitimate right. President EJAC urged upon the Hon’ble LG Manoj Sinha and worthy chief secretary Dr.A.K.Mehta to personally intervene this human and grave buissue and provide justice to these families which are living a miserable life. Rather expressed hope that Government of JK will seek the details of all pending SRO-43 cases and will dispose off all cases on priority in view of humanitarian aspect attached to it.
