An encounter erupted between terrorists and security forces in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials said.
A top police officer told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists. During the operation, terrorists opened fire, triggering a gunfight.
