Jammu, Dec 16 :
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday ordered the placement of Er. Rajesh Kumar Gupta as In-Charge Engineer-in-Chief (Secretary Technical), Public Works (R&B) Department, with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 376-PW (R&B) of 2025, issued by the Public Works (R&B) Department as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Er. Rajesh Kumar Gupta, presently serving as In-Charge Chief Engineer (Civil), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Engineer-in-Chief (Secretary Technical) in his own pay and grade.
The order states that the placement has been made in pursuance of the Council of Ministers’ Decision No. 137/18/2025 dated December 3, 2025.
However, the government clarified that the appointment shall remain subject to the outcome of any writ petition(s), if pending, before competent courts of law. (KNC)
