Srinagar, April 15 :
The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) and Jammu and Kashmir Pensioners United Front (JKPUF), under the leadership of Abdul Qayoom Wani, express serious concern over the unfair and discriminatory treatment being meted out to the retired employees of Centaur Hotel Srinagar by the Hotel Corporation of India (HCI).
It is deeply regrettable that while wage revision arrears for the period 2008–2018 have been released in favor of employees in Delhi and Mumbai, the same has been denied to employees of Centaur Hotel Srinagar. This clear case of double standards and regional bias is unacceptable and has caused deep hurt to the retired employees who served the institution with dedication.
To make matters worse, the govt of Jammu kashmir continuously delaying the rightful dues such as gratuity and leave salary and pensionery benifits of many retired employees are still pending, despite several written requests and repeated follow-ups. This deliberate delay reflects the apathetic attitude of the management toward its own workforce.
Even basic attempts to seek information through the Right to Information (RTI) Act are being frustrated by evasive or delayed responses, which raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability.
JKCSF and JKPUF call upon the Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation and other concerned authorities in the Government of India to intervene immediately. We demand the urgent release of all pending dues, including arrears, gratuity, and leave salary, to the affected employees of Centaur Hotel Srinagar.
We also seek action against those responsible for this neglect and urge the government to uphold justice, equality, and employee welfare across all regions.
