Baramulla, Sept 19 :
A 45-year old man drowned in the river Jhelum near Khadiyar Baramulla on Sunday afternoon..
An official told that the man identified as Rafiq Ahmed Mir S/O Abdul Jabar Mir of Drangbal village of Baramulla slipped and drowned in the river while washing his vehicle.
He said that soon after a team of police reached to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
The official said that rescue operation was underway when reports last came in.
