The Jammu & Kashmir Police has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Inspector General of Police Mohammad Ashraf Bedar, remembering him as a dedicated officer whose contributions left a lasting impact on the force.
In an official message, the police fraternity paid tribute to Bedar’s years of committed service, highlighting his leadership and efforts in strengthening policing and public safety in the region. Senior officers and personnel across ranks conveyed their condolences and shared memories of his professionalism and guidance.
The Jammu & Kashmir Police extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, praying for strength and comfort during this difficult time. Colleagues and well-wishers across the state have also joined in mourning the loss of a respected former IGP, whose service and legacy, officials said, “will always be remembered.”
