Srinagar: A court in Ganderbal has rejected the bail application of man arrested for cheating innocent people on pretext of marriage thus using the sacred social institution of marriage to fulfill his evil designs faking the marriage.
After receiving the complaint Police Station Lar Ganderbal that a fake marriage racket is being run by Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohmmad Ramzan Sheikh of Panzipora Sopore, police registered an FIR no 47 of 2021 under section 420,34 IPC.The accused was arrested.
Meanwhile, seeking bail, a court in Ganderbal has rejected the bail application of the accused on the ground that the instant case serious allegations have been levelled against the applicant whereby he is alleged to have used the sacred institution of marriage for fulfilling his evil designs and innocent people are alleged to have fallen prey to his evil designs.
“Such offences are against the publicinterest and are likely to create havoc in the society. Furthermore, the accused is not the only one involved in the alleged crime but it is a wide spread network many districts as the accused persons in the instant FIR belong to different districts, thereby making the alleged offence evenmore grave,” the order by Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal reads.
The prosecution was represented by Miss Nadish Yousf Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP).
“Resultantly, given the gravity of the offence and keeping larger interest of the society in consideration. I am not inclined to exercise the discretion of bail in favour of the accused. Therefore, instant bail application is rejected,” reads the announced order by Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal.
