Police under the supervision of Ms. Divya D-IPS SP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by Inspr Waseem Jahangir SHO PS Kunzer arrested Gang of Drug smugglers namely Adil Ahmad Bhat S/O Nazir Ahmad, Umer Mohiuddin Ahanger both residents of Goom Ahmadpora, Hayat Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohammad Ramzan R/O Kawoosa, Showkat Ahmad Sheikh S/O Abdul Majeed & Nargis W/O Showkat Ahmad Sheikh both residents of Umerabad Srinagar during naka checking at Kunzer Baramulla who were coming in a vehicle Maruti EECO bearing registration number JK15A-7113 towards Kunzer and after noticing the police party tried to flee away but were apprehended tactfully and were taken into custody immediately.
During their search 530 grams of contraband Charas like substance alongwith cash 21K was recovered from their possession. Vehicle was also seized on spot.
Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Kunzer and investigations set in motion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the gang was actively involved in selling & supplying contraband Charas among the youth of Kunzer Baramulla, Magam Budgam & Shalteng Shrinagar.
