Ghulam Rasool Bhat of Sheeri Nominated as Zonal President Baramulla for Fourth Time by Peoples Democratic Party, six others nominated

Srinagar, September 27, 2022: In a significant organizational reshuffle, the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated Ghulam Rasool Bhat, aka Bitmom former Sarpanch of Sheeri, as the Zonal President Baramulla for the fourth consecutive time. The decision was announced by the party’s General Secretary, Mohammad Khursheed Alam, in an official order issued today.  

The nomination comes as part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its grassroots presence across various zones in Jammu and Kashmir. The proposal for Bhat’s nomination was put forward by the District President of Baramulla, reflecting the party’s confidence in his leadership and dedication to public service. 

The PDP has also announced the appointment of Zonal Presidents for several other key zones, including Baramulla, Pattan, Uri, Rafia-bad, Wagoora-Kreeri, Sopore, and Tangmarg. These appointments aim to bolster the party’s organizational structure and ensure effective representation across the region.  

The official order, bearing reference number JKPDP/ORD/0154 and date 27-02- 2022, was signed by General Secretary Mohammad Khursheed Alam. The order was also circulated among senior party leaders, including President Ms. Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba, Vice President Mr. Mohammad Sartaj Madni, and other prominent figures such as Mr. Ab Majid Lone, Mr. Manzoor Ahmed Mir, and Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Dar.  

Ghulam Rasool Bhat, a seasoned politician and former Sarpanch, has been a prominent face of the PDP in the Baramulla district. His re-nomination as Zonal President underscores his unwavering commitment to the party’s ideology and his ability to connect with the masses.  

The PDP leadership expressed confidence that the newly appointed Zonal Presidents will work tirelessly to strengthen the party’s base and address the concerns of the people at the grassroots level.  

Ghulam Rasool Bhat said that PDP remains steadfast in its mission to uphold the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and these appointments are seen as a step forward in achieving that goal.
