The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday ordered the suspension of Dr. Ishtiyaq Abdullah, an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at the Government Medical College, Baramulla with immediate effect.

The suspension order, issued by the Health & Medical Education department, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) states that the suspension has been enforced under Rule-31 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.

“Dr. Ishtiyaq Abdullah will remain attached to the office of the Principal, Government Medical College, Handwara, during the period of his suspension”, it reads—(KNO)
