Srinagar, Oct 1 :

The Government has suspended the Additional Superintendent of Police Budgam with immediate effect.

The government has attached the suspended officer Gowhar Ahmad Khan with Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir pending an enquiry into his ‘conduct’.

“In terms of Rule 31(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, pending an inquiry into his conduct, Shri Gowhar Ahmad Khan, Addl. the Superintendent of Police Budgam, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect”, reads the order, a copy of which lies with GNS.

“It is further ordered that the Officer shall remain attached with Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir, during the period of suspension”, reads the order further. (GNS)
