Srinagar, Nov 20 :
The Jammu and Kashmir government employees have expressed concerns over the delay in clearance of their General Provident Fund (GPF) bills, which have been pending in treasuries for several months.
Several employees, speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), shared their frustrations, citing pressing financial needs.
“When will we receive the money? We have daughters’ marriages to plan, houses under construction, and urgent medical emergencies,” one of the employees lamented.
He said the prolonged delay has left them struggling to manage their financial commitments, urging authorities to expedite the process.
“Despite repeated appeals, the pending bills continue to disrupt our plans and livelihoods,” said another employee.
In the meantime, KNO tried to reach treasury officials, but no response was received despite repeated attempts—(KNO)
