The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday ordered sanctioning the promotion and regularisation of faculty members of Government Medical Colleges Anantnag, Baramulla, Kathua and Rajouri on higher positions.
The order, issued by the Health & Medical Education Department as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC states that pursuant to the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee/ J&K Public Service Commission, sanction is hereby accorded to the promotion/ regularisation of the following faculty members of various disciplines on the posts and from the dates indicated against each.
In Government Medical College, Anantnag, Dr. Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Associate Professor, Dermatology → promoted as Professor, prospectively. Dr. Ummer Yaseen, Assistant Professor, Dermatology → promoted as Associate Professor, prospectively. Dr. Sheikh Nawaz Ahmad, Assistant Professor, General Medicine → promoted as Associate Professor, w.e.f 12.08.2024. Dr. Irfan Gul, Assistant Professor, General Medicine → promoted as Associate Professor, prospectively. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Wani, Associate Professor, General Surgery → promoted as Professor, prospectively. Dr. Zahid Mohd Rather, Assistant Professor, General Surgery → promoted as Associate Professor, prospectively. Dr. Mohd Yousuf Dar, Associate Professor, Ophthalmology → promoted as Professor, prospectively.
