Over 30 engineers elevated on stop-gap basis; wide-ranging transfers across J&K

Srinagar, April 9 :

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday ordered the placement of several In-charge Assistant Executive Engineers (Electrical) as In-charge Executive Engineers (Electrical) in the Power Development Department (PDD) with immediate effect.

As per Government Order No. 94-JK (PDD) of 2026 dated April 9 as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the engineers placed as I/c Executive Engineers include Vikram Jeet Singh, Umar Majid Kamil, Nisar Ahmad Rather, Rajni, Shiv Raj Sharma, Sandeep Bhat, Mohammad Saleem, Hamidullah Thokar, Bhanu Pratap Singh Jamwal, Ashaq Hussain Untoo, Vikas Gupta, Vikas Khajuria, Ashwani Sharma, Manzoor Ahmad Wani, Sunil Kumar, Mohammad Ishaq Bhat, Shazia Jan, Ayaz Rasool Kirmani, Gurvinder Singh, Ajay Pal Singh, Javaid Iqbal Tak, Mudasir Amin Tibet Bagal, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Sunil Kumar (RBA), Rakesh Sharma (RBA), Imtiyaz Ahmad Sheikh (RBA), Junaid Ahmad (RBA), Sudhir Kumar Gupta and Mohd Shafi Wani.

The placements have been made on officiating basis in their own pay and grade, along with admissible charge allowance. The government has clarified that these placements are temporary and on stop-gap basis, subject to the outcome of any pending court cases, and shall not confer any right for regular promotion under rules.

The order further states that in case of any adverse report against any officer, the placement shall be withdrawn without prior notice.

Consequent upon these placements, the government has also ordered transfers and postings of the newly placed officers across various divisions including KPDCL, JPDCL, JKPTCL and other units, and directed that all such officers shall be deemed to have been relieved to take up their new assignments.
