Baramulla: The 3rd Edition of the Corporate Cup concluded with a high-octane grand finale at Bipin Rawat Stadium, where Team GMC Baramulla triumphed over Team Election in a nail-biting contest.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Team Election set a competitive target of 141 runs. Zahoor Lone shone with a stellar knock of 60 runs, while Farooq Mir contributed a crucial 46. Their efforts laid the groundwork for a challenging total, promising an exhilarating chase.

Led by Captain Dr. Mudasir Hassan, Team GMC Baramulla rose to the occasion, chasing down the target in just 17 overs. The match’s hero, Amir Bukhari, played a match-winning innings of 49 runs, supported by Asif Mir’s composed 45-run contribution. Their partnership proved instrumental in sealing the victory.

The grand finale was graced by the presence of Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa, who attended as the Chief Guest. Dr. Prof. Majid Jahangir, Principal of GMC Baramulla, commended the team’s exceptional performance and hailed the tournament as a platform for fostering sportsmanship among departments.

Individual accolades added to the excitement. Sajad Majeed was named the Game Changer for his all-round brilliance, while Asif Sofi received the Super Sixes Award for his explosive batting during the chase.
