Srinagar, January 01:

A civilian was injured after unknown persons suspected to be militants hurled a grenade on CRPF Bunker near Hawal Chowk in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday evening.

A senior police officer told GNS that militants lobbed grenade towards
CRPF Bunker of 28 BN near Hawal Chowk. However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded on roadside.

In this incident one civilian namely Sameer Ahmed Malla son of Manzoor Ahmed Malla resident of Habak recieved minor splinter injury, he was immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, the officer added.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.(GNS)
