As a part of J&K Government’s Public outreach programme, Handwara Police today organized ‘Thana Diwas’ at Police Station Kralgund which was chaired by ASP Handwara Shri Irshad Hussain-JKPS, accompanied by SHO PS Kralgund.
The meeting was attended by the respectable citizens, civil societies of Kralgund area including, Numberdars, Chowkidars,Traders Federation, Transporters, PRI’s and Aukaaf committee members.
In the pubic outreach Programme numerous grievances projected by the general public were resolved on the spot as the chairing officer gave patient hearing to the participants and also assured to take up the matter with concerned authorities related to the issues pertaining to other departments of the district.
It was also reiterated by the supervisory officer that the aim of the ‘Thana Divas’ is to ensure timely and efficient services to the aggrieved persons in a very transparent judicious manner.
The participants were impressed upon to co-operate Handwara Police in maintaining Law and order and drug free and crime free atmosphere in their respective area.
Invariably all the participants expressed their gratitude to govt for organizing ‘Thana Divas’ at Police Station level.
