Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed disappointment over the Supreme Court’s refusal to grant an urgent hearing on the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood before October 10.

Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Omar Abdullah as per Kashmir News Corner — KNC said, “It is unfortunate that the Supreme Court is not ready to hear this matter before October 10. We hope that when it comes up, the Court will impose a time limit and we will get statehood back soon.”

Chief Minister reiterated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are awaiting restoration of their rights and expressed optimism that the apex court will take a decisive stand in the upcoming hearing. (KNC)
