While 3rd Dec is celebrated as World Disability Day, Human Aid Society organised the day at Auditorium of Boys Degree College Sopore, where the CJM Sopore Court and Chairman DLSA Mr. Faizan ul Haq Iqbal was the Chief Guest and Principal GDC Sopore Mrs Prof. Salma Kar Presided the Chair while Ex Chairman of J&K School Board of School Education Prof. Mohammad Abdullah Churoo, District Social Welfare Officer Baramulla Mr. Showket Ah Shah (KAS) & ARTO Baramulla Er. Mubashir Jan were the Guests of Honor.
The seminar was organised in Collaboration with *District Legal Services Authority Baramulla and Tehsil LSA Sopore. Besides them the various reputed Social organizations, *J&K Yateem Foundation, Etihaad Handicapped Association Baramulla, Human Welfare Voluntary Organization, J&K Handicapped Association Srinagar* were also collaborating partners.
A huge number of Specially Abled Persons, Civil Society Representatives of Sopore, Students of Welkin Institution and GDC Sopore, Professors and Teachers of the said institutions, Prominent Personalities & various Trade Union Leaders of District Baramulla, Members and Heads of the collaborating NGOs were present in the program.
Chairman HAS ,Bashir Ahmad Mir delivered the welcome address and put forth the hardships faced by this community and impressed upon all the stacke holders to come forward and join hands to work for this deprived community.
Human Aid Society played a very impressive song, as it was written by Chairman HAS , which carried a strong message, directly pierced into hearts of every individual in the audience .The massage was taken by one and all, espacially by ARTO Baramulla and Principal GDC Sopore, who assured the audience that they will definitely follow the path of Human Aid Society and will provide financial and moral support for this section of society. The speech of a girl student of Welkin School was highly appreciable, well taken by all.
The Chief Guest, Chairman DLSA and Honb’le Sub Judge Mr. Faizan-ul Haq Iqbal in his Presidential Addres hailed the efforts of organisers of the event and highly thanked all and felt proud to recieve the message by heart. Lastly the vote of thanks was presented by Human Aid Society Patron,while the whole proceedings were conducted by Shakir Kashmiri -AIR broadcaster.
