BARAMULLA ,JULY ,22 :

A blood donation camp was organised today at GMC Baramulla by Idarah Falahudarain, a registered non government society, in collaboration with Government Medical College, Baramulla. 46 people donated blood and contributed towards saving lives of the people in need.

Speaking to the media, the organiser of the camp and the President of Idarah Falahudarain, Dr. Imtiyaz Abdul Qadir said that the Blood donation camps save lives, improve health and advance health equity. He described the blood donation as an act of social solidarity that sends a powerful message of mutual aid and civic commitment. Dr. Sheikh Khurshid Ahmad, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrate Forum J and K donated blood in the camp and said that donating blood provides a sense of belonging and strengths our unity and togetherness and that he was happy to participate in the life saving camp.

Another donor, Mr Khurshid Ahmad Lone, renowned contractor also donated blood and thanked the organisers of the camp. People from all sections of society, be it education, medical, civil society, traders, businessmen, and students participated in the camp.

The donors were mostly the young people who called upon the organisers to hold such camps on regular basis. The GMC Baramulla authorities appreciated the efforts of Idarah Falahudarain and welcomed collaborative efforts in service of humanity.
