Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Jammu Zone, recently chaired a high-level security review meeting at the Range Police Headquarters in Batote, focusing on the Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range.

Senior police officers from across the Jammu Zone, including those from Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban districts, were in attendance.

The IGP meticulously evaluated the region’s security landscape, operational readiness, and response protocols.

The key focus of the meeting was enhancing coordination among the various security agencies and police forces operating in the area to effectively maintain law and order and counter potential security threats.

Discussions centered on the strategic deployment of forces within the three districts, with particular emphasis on addressing emerging security challenges. Improving surveillance capabilities, strengthening the intelligence network, and enhancing coordination between field forces were also prioritized.

IGP Tuti stressed the importance of robust logistical support, increased patrolling, and proactive measures to prevent any untoward incidents.

Furthermore, the IGP underscored the critical need for ongoing engagement with local communities, especially in remote and challenging terrains, to build trust and foster cooperation. He also emphasized the importance of ensuring the welfare of officers deployed in these difficult areas.

Among those present at the meeting were the DIG DKR Range; the SSsP of Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban; the SSP Special Ops and Trg, ZPHQ, Jammu; the SsP Ops of Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, and Jammu; and the SO to IGP Jammu.
