The Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM), Gulmarg, has successfully concluded its fifth 14-day Snow Skiing and Method of Instruction (MOI) Course for the 2025–26 training season.
The graduation ceremony was held on 26th February 2026 amid enthusiasm and celebration, marking another milestone in the institute’s continued pursuit of excellence in winter sports training.

The course witnessed spirited participation from winter sports aspirants representing different parts of the country, reaffirming IISM’s commitment to promoting professionalism and high standards in snow skiing and MOI training in India.
The ceremony was graced by SSP Baramulla Shri Gurenderpal Singh, , as the Chief Guest. A total of 96 candidates successfully completed the course, including 72 in the Basic category, 9 in Intermediate, 6 in Advanced, and 8 in the Method of Instruction (MOI) segment.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Gurenderpal Singh congratulated the students on their achievement and highlighted the competitive nature of admissions to IISM courses.
He noted that online admissions are highly sought after, with limited seats available and lakhs of aspirants logging onto the institute’s website to secure a place.“If you have the passion to learn something, you will definitely succeed,” he remarked, encouraging students to remain dedicated and focused in their pursuits.
He extended his best wishes to all participants for their future endeavours and urged them to continue striving for excellence in the field of winter sports.The successful conduct of the course reflects IISM’s sustained efforts to strengthen winter sports culture in India and to provide structured, high-quality training in skiing and snowboarding.
Over the years, the institute has emerged as a prominent hub for aspiring winter sports athletes, significantly contributing to the growth of adventure tourism and the enhancement of professional training standards in the country.
Certificates and prizes were distributed among the successful participants by the Chief Guest.
