In a first, Gondola services at ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district remained operational for tourists on Eid day.
Managing Director Cable Car Corporation, Ghulam Jeelani Zargar told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the services were kept open for the first time as a welcome gesture for the tourists.
He also said that earlier, tourists would get disappointed as they would not able to get Gondola tickets on this day.
He said on an average Gulmarg records 5000 visitors a day. “Full day commercial operations were conducted for the first time under the guidance of secretary tourism Abid Rasheed Shah,” he added—(KNO)
