MP Aga Ruhullah Mehdi on Friday said the 120th birth anniversary of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah should serve as a reminder of his contribution to securing justice, dignity, and democratic rights for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehdi, as per KNS, said Sheikh Abdullah represented political courage and resilience and shaped the collective aspirations of the region. “We are reminded not only of his political stature but also of his unwavering commitment to justice, dignity, and the rights of the people of Jammu & Kashmir,” he said.
Mehdi said Sheikh Abdullah devoted his life to challenging oppression and dismantling structures of exploitation. He said it was the responsibility of the present generation to uphold these values and continue the mission associated with the National Conference founder.
“It is our responsibility to uphold these values and carry forward the mission he and his colleagues dedicated their lives to. Let this day renew our commitment to unity, justice, and democratic rights,” he said.(KNS).
