SRINAGAR , OCTOBER,12 :
In a statement issued on Thursday Wani said that daily routine in Kashmir valley has deteriorated due to the ever increasing bad power supply. Stating that while low voltage sometimes plays hide and seek, the Chairman jKCSF Qayoom wani said that electricity remains off most of the day and as such the low power supply is affecting the business community, traders and students and the patients as well who are on life support machines that run only on power supply. Wani urged the Government to enhance power supplies as needed, Stating therein that “the supply of power is not given as per the devised schedule but even the scheduled hours of power supply face power cuts and absolute darkness which has affected the daily life especially badly impacted the preparation of students during the various exams that are in vogue” JKCSF urged the Government to come up with a curtailment schedule if there is a power shortage but avoid unnecessary power cuts which have cascading impact on our economy. Wani has asked the Chief Engineer of Power Development Department to apologize to people for having badly failed to keep the promise of uninterrupted power supply to consumers during the scheduled hours.
