Naseer Ahmed Dar, Ist ADJ Designated Special Court Judge in Baramulla

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through its Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, has issued a notification designating several judicial officers as Special Judges, Anti-Corruption, to expedite the trial of corruption cases within the Union Territory.
The notification, S.O. 58, issued on March 6, 2025, under Section 3 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, appoints the following judicial officers to these specialized roles:
Kamlesh Pandit, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Udhampur, designated as Special Court under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Pawan Kumar Sharma, Special Judge Anti-Corruption (CBI Cases), Jammu.
Sudesh Sharma, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Rajouri, designated as Special Court under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Naseer Ahmed Dar, 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla, designated as Special Court under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
These appointments, made by the Lieutenant Governor, aim to strengthen the judicial framework for combating corruption in Jammu and Kashmir. The designated Special Judges will have the jurisdiction to try offences specified in Section 4 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, within their respective territorial areas.
This notification supersedes previous notifications S.O. 533 of 2024, dated November 5, 2024, and makes partial modifications to notifications S.O. 583 of 2022, dated November 5, 2022, and S.O. 459 of 2024, dated September 6, 2024.
The move underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in public administration.
