J&K police Chief Congratulates Awardees

Srinagar, Aug 14 :

A total of 347 police personnel have been awarded Police Medal for Gallantry on the occasion of India’s 76th Independence Day, J&K Police has been honoured with 108 medals, the highest number of medals among all the States and UT’s.

J&K police on it’s twitter handle said that Ministry of Home Affairs has released the list of Medal Awardees to the Police Personnel on the occasion of Independence Day 2022.

“J&K Police has been awarded 108 Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG),02 President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service(PPM-DS),” it said.

“15 Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PMMS). DGP J&K Dilbag Singh has congratulated awardees & their families.

He has expressed his gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Lt.Governor Manoj Sinha, officers of MHA & Home Department for award of large number of medals to J&K Police once again among all police forces.

“JKP leads the way in fight against terror. Gets highest number of medals in fourth consecutive year among the State and UT Police forces. Special Operation Group is in the forefront,” the J&K police said.
