Welcomes him on taking reigns of prestigious District, submits comprehensive 12 points memorandum

Baramulla 29 February 2024;A high level delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association Baramulla lead by its Provincial President Mr Ishfaq Ahmad Shah and Mr Altaf Hussain Bhat District President on Thursday called Shri Menga Sherpa and warmly welcomed him on taking the reigns as District Development Commissioner Baramulla.While welcoming Mr Mushtaq Bhat District Vice President Teachers Association Baramulla presented a brief introduction of cadre and organisation that is representing teaching community irrespective of any nomenclature. Mushtaq Bhat reiterated the achievements of organisation which isn’t only highlighting the issues and concerns of education sector but playing a significant role in eradicating social evils from the society.Mr Avtar Krishan Bhat extended warm welcome and vowed every kind of support to the chair on behalf of teachers association of District Baramulla .While speaking Provincial President Mr Ishfaq Ahmad Shah hailed the move of LG Administration by posting such an experienced officer as Deputy Commissioner of prestigious and historical District. He praised the incumbent for his capability and administrative acumen. He apprised the chair various issues and concerns faced by teaching community and submitted comprehensive 12 points memorandum, addressing key concerns and reforms necessary for the betterment of the teaching community in the District.The memorandum includes establishment of independent education commission in the District. recommending deserved teachers for awards. Transparency in annual transfer drive of teachers, rationalisation, transfer of non teaching staff, Adequate fund allocation to the schools for upgrading sports and digital infrastructure as per NEP 2020 recommendations, Equal opportunities for all teachers to enhance their capabilities and exposure besides detachment of all teaching staff working in different offices, Favouritism and nepotism in providing infrastructure and nomination of teachers.Shah while hoping that the District will touch new heights under the leadership of Shri Minga Sherpa vowed the support and cooperation of his cadre where and whenever needed.Pertinently Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Shri Menga Sherpa expressed gratitude and assured the delegation that their concerns would be thoroughly examined for the welfare of education landscape of the District.Those who were part of the delegation, included Rafeeq Ah Lone, Farooq Ahmad Dar.
