Delegation highlights key issues in transfers, study permission, vacancies and academic policy, Director Promise’s priority action

Srinagar 19 Nov, 2025: The Jammu & Kashmir Rehber-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) accorded a warm and heartfelt welcome to the Worthy Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Mr. Naseer Ahmad Wani (JKAS), during a special interaction held at his office today.

The session commenced with Secretary Reyaz Ahmad Ganai, who introduced the organization and its leadership in a comprehensive and impressive manner, highlighting the forum’s vision, achievements, and ongoing efforts for the upliftment of the education sector.As a gesture of respect and admiration, the DSEK was welcomed with garlands, portraits, and tokens of appreciation, symbolizing the deep regard the teaching fraternity holds for his leadership.

While addressing the gathering, Chairman JKRETTF Khalid Rafeeq Bhat, extended a warm and respectful welcome to the Director. He expressed hope that under the dynamic guidance of Mr. Wani, the School Education Department will continue to flourish and scale new heights in both academic excellence and administrative efficiency.

The Chairman also raised several crucial issues concerning teachers and students, followed by the formal submission of a detailed memorandum to the DSEK.During the meeting, the delegation presented a comprehensive memorandum highlighting several long-pending demands concerning the welfare, service conditions, and academic functioning of schools across the Union Territory. The key issues raised included the formulation and implementation of a uniform transfer policy for ReT teachers who have served in the same institutions for many years, de-freezing and regularization of supernumerary posts, and expedition of one time exemption for study permission and demands continuous permission for enhancing qualification.

The delegation also stressed the need for timely transition of Grade III to Grade II teachers, provision of adequate preparation days before opening of schools after winter vacations, immediate filling of vacant posts of Headmasters, ZEOs, and ZEPOs to ensure smooth academic and administrative operations.In his address, Director School Education Kashmir, Mr. Naseer Ahmad Wani, praised the significant role played by Rehber-e-Taleem teachers in strengthening the educational framework at the grassroots level.

He thanked the JKReTTF leadership for their warm reception and assured the gathering that all genuine issues and concerns raised by the forum would be examined and addressed on priority.The welcome ceremony was attended by Vice President, Mr. Rahi Irshad senior leader Bhat Yaqoob, along with various District Presidents, Zonal Presidents, and senior members of the forum Including organizer Mustafa Wazir,Finance Secretary Showkat Ahmad Wani, Zahoor Zainagri, Mohammad Amin, Showkat Ahmad Dar, Zia- ud-din, Zulfikar Ali, Dar Aslam,Mukhtar Ahmad, Altaf Ahmad, Azahar Ahmad, Nisar Ahmad, Ali Mohmmad, Sajad Ahmad, Showkat Ahmad Wani, Mohammad Maqbool, Mushtaq Ahmad, Altaf Hussain and others making the event a highly interactive and meaningful engagement.
