High-level delegation meets Dy CEO who assures DPC meet for TBP in upcoming week, visits residence of EJAC President Mohammad Rafique Rather

Baramulla, June 6, 2022: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e- Taleem Teachers’ Forum (JKRETTF) led by District President Baramulla Mohmmad Yaqoob Bhat flanked by senior leaders Mr. Rahi Irshad,  Mohmmad Iqbal Bhat  and District General Secretary Reyaz Ahmad Ganai  held an important meeting with Deputy Chief Education Officer Balbir Singh at CEO Office Baramulla. 

Expressing serious concern over the delay in Departmental Promotion Committee meetings, District President Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat urged Chief Education Officer Baramulla Ghulam Mohammad Lone and Deputy Chief Education Officer Balbir Singh to speed up the process  of clearance of TP files as teachers are suffering badly due to delay.

In response, admitting the fact that teachers are facing hardships, Deputy CEO Balbir Singh informed that a recent order regarding cancellation of standing committees had created confusion which got cleared besides current situation in the valley led to delay in DPC but he assured that in upcoming week DPC will take place for which more than 200 files already stand cleared and rest with objection would be cleared by this week.

The high level delegation following up the previous meetings discussed different issues of teachers with the officials who patiently heeded the issue and taking note of every single matter besides disposing off some particular issues on spot while as directions regarding scrutiny of all files within this week was also passed. 

“ There should be time bond clearance of Time Bond files. Delay in DPC won’t be tolerated at any cost as teachers suffering huge financial losses besides psychological trauma,” said District President Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat.

Later, delegation joined by ZP Singpora Farooq Ahmad and zonal body Singpora visited residence of President EJAC Mohammad Rafique Rather who has undergone angioplasty with a stent place after he developed severe chest pain while delivering speech during protesting for REKs and REJs at Srinagar.

The delegation prayed for speedy recovery for the senior trade union leader and hailed his efforts in fighting the issues of all employees particularly of REKs and REJs, said the Head Media Wing JKRTTF Baramulla, J. M Lone in statement.
