Srinagar -5 August.A high level delegation of JK Teachers Forum led by President EJAC and chairman Mohd Rafique Rather called on DSEK Dr.Tassadaq Hussain in his office chamber and highlighted the issues confronting working of teaching community in detail.
Delegation comprised of President JKTF Mohd Afzal Bhat, Gen.Secretary Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Provincial President Showket Ali Baig and Provincial VP Farooq Sogami.
Delegation raised the issue of posting of G2 and G3 teachers on substantive posts as per the SAC order 2018, to which delegation was informed that the CEOs have already been directed to compile the list and start the process strictly as per seniority.
Confirmation of masters of 2014 was raised by the delegation and worthy DSEK was appraised of the sufferings of the said masters, taking note of the issue Worthy DSEK said that he is well aware of the situation and assured that DPC will be conducted in coming days and all those pending cases shall be taken up on priority.
TA in favour of teachers engaged in community classes was also taken up and on spot directions were passed on to CEOs to look in to these issues.
Vacancies of HMs in different high schools of valley was discussed in length and the chair was appraised of the working of such schools in absence of Heads which is hampering the normal and routine work. Promotion of teachers to masters was highlighted forcefully and chair was appraised of the trauma these teaching are going through because of their career stagnation.
Worthy DSEK responded posatively to this serious issue and assured the delegation that list of HMs will be issued soon after the list of masters is consolidated and updated and added that process has already been started and added that promotion of teachers is our priority and Directorate is seriously working on compiling and updating data, once its completed,process of promotion will start.
Posting of incharge lecturers promoted in 2019 was highlighted by the delegation and chair was appraised that their counterparts in Jammu Division have already been adjusted. To which Worthy DSEK admitted lapses in past and assured the redressal on priority in near future.
Re-verification of grade2 and grade3 teachers was discussed in length and delegation was said that Directorate will issue orders soon after it receives verification even on individual basis.
Delay in leave encashment in favour of retired personal was also highlighted and DSEK assured speedy disposal of such cases and added that enough grants under the head shall be sought from finance department to meet out such pendencies.
Orders for winter tutorials was also sought and rationalisation of non-teaching staff in Zonal offices was also taken up and staff deficiencies was discussed and delegation was assured redressal in near future.
Worthy DSEK sought support from all cadres to reach out to the untrodden and added that teaching fraternity being the significant cog in the wheel has to come to the expectations of the society.He said that he believes in zero pendency and is working on it along with his staff in Directorate.
Chairman JKTF Mohd Rafique Rather thanked Dr Tassadaq Hussain for his prompt and holistic overhauling of the department and added that teaching community is feeling satisfied the way their issues are being addressed on merit and assured the Chair that JKTF cadre spread in nook and corner of JK are under an obligation to extending cooperation and support in getting the derailed system back to track.He said that there will be no interference in administrative issues and at the same time requested worthy DSEK not to allow anybody to exploit the accesses to the chair for their personal benefits and gains.
