The Kashmir Zone Police on Sunday issued a strong appeal for peace and restraint amid the recent developments in the Middle East, urging citizens to express their views only through lawful and peaceful means while warning that any form of violence or public disorder.
Spokepserson in a statement issued here, In view of recent developments in middle east, we respect the right of citizens to peacefully express through lawful means.
However, incidents of rioting, stone-pelting, clashes & disruption of public order at some places are not acceptable, it reads.
Violence, destruction of property, and confrontation with security forces lead to injuries, loss of life, restrictions, closure of educational institutions, and hardship for families, traders, students, and daily wagers, it reads.
We appeal to all sections of society to exercise restraint and refrain from violence & provocation, it reads.
Police will take strict legal action against instigators and miscreants involved in unlawful activities.
Authorities remain committed to uphold the rule of law and protecting life and property, statement reads.
