Srinagar, November 17 :

The Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA) today flayed the Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to provide uninterrupted power supply to the business establishments of the Valley.

In a statement issued to KNS, KTA president Aijaz Ahmad Shahdhar said unscheduled power cuts were especially inconveniencing the traders and students.

“The traders have expressed serious concern over the erratic power supply being provided these days. Winter is yet to peak but hide and seek of power supply has started in advance. There are unscheduled power cuts despite issuance of power curtailment schedule. Students too are suffering at a time when the examinations are taking place,” he said.

“The businesses have taken a hit due to frequent power cuts and others too are complaining. This time students are preparing for their examination and poor power supply is hampering their education,” he added.

Shahdhar appealed the PDD to take the issue head on and provide quality power supply to all consumers. (KNS)
