Srinagar, Jul 19 :

Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a fraudster in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

“A complaint was received by Police Post Chogal wherein the complainant had stated that one person named Fahmeeda Begum, wife of Nisar Ahmad Mir of Yunsoo had taken money from the complainant in lieu of providing a heavily fabricated order of appointment as SPO, thereby defrauding the complainant,” a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said.

Based on this, a case under FIR number 199/22 under section 420, 468-IPC was registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation was initiated, police said, adding that the accused has been arrested while further investigation is underway—(KNO)
