A law student from Baramulla was arrested after a live round of pistol was recovered at the drop gate from his baggage at Srinagar’s International Airport on Monday.
A police official told News Agency that a live round of pistol was recovered at drop gate from baggage of one passenger identified as Syed Sadaqat Hussain (law student) son of Syed Rehman Ali, a resident of Hardik Kamal Kote area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla.
He said that the student was scheduled to visit from Srinagar to Chandigarh by Indigo airline flight. The student has been handed over to Police post Humhama.
An FIR number 328 of 2021 under section 7/25 of arms act was accordingly registered at police station Budgam and further investigation has been initiated in this regard, he added.
