New Delhi, Jan 10 :
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval called upon the youth of the country to reflect on India’s long and painful history and draw inspiration from it to rebuild a strong, self-reliant nation rooted in its own values and beliefs.
Addressing the inaugural session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Doval said India’s freedom was achieved after immense suffering, sacrifices and humiliation endured by generations of Indians. He reminded young people that independence did not come easily and urged them to channel the lessons of history into shaping the future of the nation.
Doval said India once had a highly advanced and peaceful civilisation, but warned that failure to recognise and respond to security threats in the past led to devastating consequences. He stressed that forgetting these lessons would be a grave mistake for future generations.
He urged the youth to develop a strong sense of national resolve, saying the country must reclaim its rightful place by building a powerful India based on its own ideas, rights and convictions.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2.0 began on Saturday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and will continue till January 12. The first edition of the programme was held at the same venue in January 2025. (KNC)
