A leopard attacked and killed the minor in Khiram Srigfwara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday evening.
Reports reaching news agency said that the wild animal attacked the girl in the area, resulting in her death on the spot.
The minor girl was identified as daughter of Riyaz Ahmad Paswal, a resident of Khiram Gujjar Basti Galan of Sirigufwara area.
The incident has triggered panic and fear among residents of the locality.
Soon after the incident, locals informed the authorities, and teams from the Wildlife Department reached the spot to assess the situation. Further details are awaited.
