Manoj Sinha on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting of senior police and civil administration officials at the Police Control Room (PCR), Kashmir, to review the prevailing law and order situation in the Valley.

The meeting witnessed the participation of top officials including Nalin Prabhat, Director General of Police, J&K; S.J.M Gillani, Special DG (Coordination); Anand Jain, ADGP Armed; Nitish Kumar, ADGP CID; V.K Birdi, IGP Kashmir; Anshul Garg, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Rajiv Pandey, DIG Central Kashmir Range; and Akshay Labroo, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, along with other senior officers.

During the comprehensive review, the Lieutenant Governor directed the officers to remain on heightened alert and to take all necessary measures to ensure the maintenance of public peace and tranquillity across the region. He emphasized proactive coordination between police and civil administration to effectively handle any emerging challenges.

The Lieutenant Governor also made a strong appeal to citizens and community leaders to uphold harmony and contribute positively towards maintaining calm and goodwill in society.

“Preserving peace and sustaining the progress of society is a shared responsibility that rests equally upon each one of us,” he stated.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Lieutenant Governor shared that he had chaired the meeting to review the law and order situation and reiterated his directions to officials to stay vigilant. He further appealed to the public to cooperate with authorities and play their part in strengthening communal harmony and social stability.(KNC)
