GULMARG , SEPTEMBER 11 :

A nomad family from North Kashmir’s Baramulla district claimed that on Friday night 20 sheep were killed after lightening struck Bootapathri Dhok near Gulmarg.

The sheep belonged to one Muhammad Iqbal Cheechi son of Ghulam Qadir Cheechi, a resident of Katianwali area of Baramulla

Iqbal told news agency Kashmir News Trust over phone that that they were migrating from one place to another when lightening struck Bootapathri Dhok, killing their 20 sheep.

He said no government official visited the spot of incident. “We are now going to approach authorities,” he said.

Muhammad Iqbal requested administration to take stock of the situation and compensate the family for the loss. (KNT)
